What I Learned New Year’s Eve

I learned two things last night, on New Year’s Eve:

  1. It is possible to stay up until midnight – actually until 1:30 – even while watching movies. All it takes is about a pound of peanut M&Ms and a good strong cup of coffee.
  2. Windex is an excellent chocolate stain remover. One of my children, who shall remain unnamed, spent part of the evening sitting on an unwrapped Hershey kiss. During one of the movie breaks, we were horrified to find thick chocolate smears on the seat and back of one of the light tan chairs in the den. I was not pleased. Steve recommended Windex, which we used to use to get stains out of carpeting (back in the old days when we had carpeting). Much to my relief, it worked and the stains are virtually gone. Thank God for Windex!

    Ha! too funny
Ironically we were thanking God for windex yesterday also. Two of my children, who shall also remain unnamed, were fooling around and one(the younger) got a ring-like object stuck on his index finger, which immediately began swelling. I remembered reading somewhere that windex is better than soap to remove rings, so I grabbed the bottle and sprayed his finger. We were able to ease it off…
I was not pleased either, and had to repent afterwards.
