Our Christmas Tree Adventure
We’ve heard stories about our friends taking memorable trips to the mountains of North Carolina to get their special Christmas trees. Well, Steve and I had a wonderful time going to get our fresh-cut tree! It was dark outside at 6:00 when we excitedly set out from home-
We drove and drove. We thought we’d never get there. At last, the exit we were looking for-
After driving a little further, we finally reached our destination: that magical, wonderful place where we would get our own fresh-cut Christmas tree!-
It took a lot of searching-
At last we found one that was just right-
We were deliriously happy-
We brought it home and Steve trimmed off some branches and stuck it in a bucket of water-
This was such a fun experience that we decided that we simply must make it an annual tradition. Nothing in the world can compare with a fresh-cut Christmas tree!

Hmmm, you are being waayyyy tooo sarcastic here!!! THAT is not a fresh cut tree! That was fresh cut days ago, but not like our fresh tree that we got TODAY in the mountains of NC! Tromping through the mud and freezing cold, looking for the perfect one. Doesn’t get any better than that.
And who in their right mind goes tree shopping at that time of morning??? Good grief, sounds like those crazy Black Friday shoppers….(last one would be me:)
I will post my mountain cutting fresh cut tree pictures soon for you to drool over:))
Wow, Lindsay, tromping through the mud and freezing rain sure sounds like FUN! BTW, we went at 6 pm, not 6 am. :p
Ah, okay. I must have been so caught up in that blasphemous post that I didn’t see the pm part:)
And for anyone reading this. I am totally kidding with Marge:) I love her!
