New Decade, New Blog
Here I go again, starting over with a brand new blog. I’ve been posting on our family blog for two years, but now all the kids have their own blogs, so I figured that I’d launch my own personal blog again. Not that I expect to have anything earth-shattering to say, but it is kinda fun and therapeutic, even if no one but my dear husband reads it.
I turned 50 last month. That’s somewhat monumental, but not really a big deal. I am not suffering mental anguish over entering my sixth decade. It’s just a little mind-boggling to think that I’ve been on this earth for a half-century. I’m certainly at least halfway through my life now and that’s something to think about, too. Hopefully I’ve now entered the better half of my life! So, anyway, I thought I’d make the theme of my blog growing older, although I’m not planning to talk about aging very much, but that does go with the territory and will surely be unavoidable. I love this quote which is attributed to Mark Twain:
Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.
My sentiments exactly. I don’t mind. In fact, it makes me happy to think that each day takes me one day closer to my eternal home!
Mrs. Sweigart, I really like your header!
